Dating back to 1907 the bungalow is an unusual survivor of the type housing rapidly built as part of a major building or civil engineering project, in this case Immingham Docks. Homes and facilities were built to house the thousands of labourers who were employed to build the dock. Most of these buildings were situated in the area that is now the Pilgrim Health Centre and included shops and facilities and was known as ‘Tin Town’. Using primitive equipment, it took six years to build and was opened in 1912 by King George V.

Refreshments, car parking and toilets are available.

Partial wheelchair access, disabled car parking and disabled toilet available on site.

Please ideally book to come along, if not just turn up!
