The Pantomime is a wonderful British institution! Taking place around the Christmas period, they are almost always based on well-known children’s stories such as Cinderella, Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty. Audience participation is very important! If you’re going to the Panto be ready to boo the villains, shout out ‘he’s behind you’ and generally get involved in the fun!

Join TaleGate Theatre Productions on a magic coach ride to visit our beautiful princess and her mate Buttons. Help our best friends make fools of the mean ugly sisters and watch Cinderella fall in love with Prince Charming. The gang are back together to present this fun filled party of a pantomime packed with songs, slapstick, silliness and all the fairy tale magic to have young (and young at heart) enchanted.

As he tries to deliver the presents, his tummy rumbles, gurgles and groans, but Father Christmas knows he must keep it in he doesn’t want to wake anyone up!

TaleGate Theatre Productions hit the perfect combination of witty humour, fantastic music and the extra sparkle for which they have become known in this fabulously funny and brilliantly bouncy musical adaptation of Nicholas Allan’s sequel to ‘Father Christmas Needs a Wee!’.

Fauré Requiem and Caroline Leighton’s Requiem

Saturday 18 November commencing at 7.30pm

This promises to be a wonderful evening of music. Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem is an all-time favourite for singers and audiences alike and this will be a concert premier for Caroline Leighton’s Requiem.

Look out for a recording of Caroline’s Requiem, which the choir completed in lockdown, which will soon be released on Grimsby Bach Choir’s YouTube Channel.

Both these pieces have wonderful tunes and beautiful harmonies so definitely an evening not to be missed.

The Railway Children

Directed by Robert Till and Adapted by Mike Kenny , Caxton theatre are back with this Decembers performance of The Railway Children.

In this much-loved children’s classic the comfortable lives of three well mannered siblings are greatly altered when, one evening, two men arrive at the house and take their father away. With the family’s fortunes considerably reduced in his absence, the children and their mother are forced to live in a simple country cottage near a railway station. There the young trio — Roberta, Peter, and young Phyllis — befriend the porter and station master. The youngsters’ days are filled with adventure and excitement, including their successful attempt to avert a horrible train disaster; but the mysterious disappearance of their father continues to haunt them.
