We love our fish and chips here in North East Lincolnshire, and we’re famous for our Grimsby Haddock of course. We’ve an amazing choice of fish & chip establishments and the dish is highly featured on many menus of our restaurants and cafes. Where better place can you be than here? A few places to consider for your Good Friday meal of choice include the following:
Ernie Becketts, Market Place, Cleethorpes, Steels Cornerhouse, Market Place, Cleethorpes, Papa’s Fish and Chips on Cleethorpes Pier, Ocean Fish Bar Cleethorpes, Wybers Chippy, Grimsby. The aptly named Fisherman’s Arms in Cleethorpes have a regular Friday offer that can be used on Good Friday too. Look out for The Helm in Cleethorpes who have a special Good Friday ‘Fish Night’ on Good Friday with fishy dishes on the menu and live music. Millfields Hotel also have a Good Friday fish & chip offer too!
And if you’re a cook-at-home kind of person, we have some great local fishmongers to pick up tasty fish. So forget the supermarkets and get yourself down to Riby Street in Grimsby. They have an incredible choice of fish at terrific quality and value.
