Visitors will also be able to see items connected with a Matilda tank named “Grimsby”, the presentation Spitfires that were financed by local people, and the air raid shelters that were constructed to protect the civilian population. The exhibition will also feature items relating to Lincolnshire’s many aerodromes and the aircraft types that could be seen over the county during the war years.
