Hunt for the Lost Toys augmented reality trail in Cleethorpes

Release the cheeky Christmas imps on the fun augmented reality trail in Cleethorpes!

Our team of heroes, The Luminauts, are celebrating their first Christmas on Earth! Unfortunately, something strange is going on with a set of 10 presents that have gone missing. The team is asking young recruits to track down the presents, answer cheeky riddles and release the Christmas imps from inside. Players will get to decide what happens at each step in the story, they’ll get to release and see the Christmas imps in AR, letting them take selfies with them. Once they’ve completed the story and released them all, they’ll win a free digital fun pack.

Discover North East Lincolnshire has teamed up with High Street Safari to run a FREE festive adventure in the ‘Hunt for the Lost Toys’ trail in Cleethorpes town centre from Thursday 1 to Saturday 31 December.  This is completely free to do, all you need is a smart phone.

To hunt down the missing presents players scan QR codes in the windows of ten locations around the town using their smart devices. Players can make story choices in a choose-your-adventure style at each stop. Scanning the code releases the cheeky Christmas Imps who will burst to life in augmented reality on their smart device.

The trail takes less than an hour to complete but can be completed in more than one visit. It’s completely free to take part, and once all ten have been found, players can download a free digital fun pack.  While the trail has been designed so there is no need to go inside the venues.  Some venues may be offering discounts or vouchers to those taking part. The trail will run until Saturday 31 December and is available to play during usual shopping hours. Please note many venues are closed Sundays and Mondays and on the Christmas bank holidays.
